Big Weekend

This weekend is going to be a busy and big weekend for Summit. For the last month we have been gearing up for Project Backpack. Through the grace of God and the generosity of the people at Summit we were able to collect enough funds to purchase and put together 750 backpacks full of school supplies. We plan on distributing some of the backpacks to the schools surrounding our University and Naples Campuses. A large portion of the back backs will be distributed this Saturday at our Back 2 School Bash event. We will have a couple of radio stations out at our property, 3 bounce houses, cotton candy machines, pop corn machines, ice cream, and tons of give-a-ways. It should be a really fun event. The best part is that it is all free for the community.

I am so proud of our church. Once again they stepped up in a huge way. I love that our people get it...that they understand that we are here to be a blessing and not a holy huddle. It is so good to be a part of a church that desires to engage the community and proclaim the greatness of God. We are praying that this event goes off well and that it truly is a blessing to the families in our community. Hats off to the wonderful people of Summit...you all are amazing!
